Announcement!

So... the Nyquil test?

Well. Apparently I have made a 100 on it. Which, according to the Professor, was last done in 1985. The whole class is p o'd because I ruined the curve. Hee-hee! The joy!

Well, I actually have mixed feelings about this-I think it's great that you worked hard to learn the material thoroughly, congratulations on that. It really bothers me that this guy, being one of my employees, is so inefficient at his job that it has taken him a quarter century to have two successful students. I give him an F. If you're saying he's been giving the same test for that long, that bothers me too, there have to have been some changes in the field since 1985.

Chloe! That is my dream! Shew, I wish I was gonna be a doctor, instead. Disease slayer!! YES!! In Jesus' name and love!! Josh, I have to say I think this may be one of the best teachers I have ever had. He just has a weird philosophy of tests and grading. I think he meant that no one has made a 100 on any of his tests since 1985. He tells us all the time about how the book says something different this year than it did last..and gives us dates of when different things were discovered.. I'm sure he's up to date. But I'm still not sure about his testing philosophy...

Well, I'm glad to know that he keeps up with the changes. I AM sure about his testing philosophy. His teaching, no matter how good it is, doesn't prepare you for his tests. The tests are supposed to be a measure of how well you know the information that you need to learn in the course. Grading on a curve as the rule rather than an exception is an admission on his part of either poor teaching or poor test writing. Period. The way he does things now, you could potentially get in one of his classes one year, make a "B", and know the material better than someone who makes an "A" the next year. Grades should be standards, not comparisons. I know I shouldn't get worked up about this, because I don't think you disagree with me, and me rambling about it isn't going to change things. Please don't misunderstand me, I am glad you did so well, and it probably means that you learned a lot that wasn't on the test. I am loving your work ethic these days, and it makes me excited to see you so intent on doing a thorough job.

Sorry for sucking the joy out of everything that involves something irritating to me. The way this guy grades anyone else will probably never matter to me. Great job on the 100. Great to see you today.
