you're so right, that was pretty damn badass. i think i'm with him. i think that saying God wants us to be rich, or that if we're holy we'll be the richest people on earth, or whatever, is so disloyal to Christians who starve to death in poor nations... or who lose everything because they follow Him. i think it's just... well, rude isn't the right word. but beyond rude---belittling of their pain AND relationships with God. does that make sense?
emily that makes so much and perfect sense. I was thinking along these lines... to say that if you have faith you will have money is to make much of the faith of americans, which we ALL know is REAL dumb. shoot. and what it says about "the rest"... so wrong. wrong thinking... i want so much to understand what the gospel is... what it means...
